Stash Delve: Rolled hem necktie

I was itching to test out rolled hems on my overlocker. I delved into my smaller scraps stash and found a shear piece of fabric with printed tear drops – perfect for a necktie.

I followed my overlocker instructional DVD to get the settings and I got some tips on cornering rolled hems here.

Fraycheck was dabbed onto the corners but I did it after snipping off the chain of stitches so as not to gum-up my scissors. I’ll give you my final verdict on this stuff after its been through the wash a couple of times!

  1. Ooh pretty! Simple and chic. Very nice 🙂

  2. Pretty fabric! I haven’t tried out the rolled hem function on my overlocker yet, I find it faster to just use my sewing machine.
